CHAMBERLIN, Sandra L., age 74, of Newport. She was surrounded by her family when she went home to be with the Lord on January 08, 2022. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Edward and Jean Miller, and her courageous brother Kenneth, who died in Vietnam. Sandy was the loving and devoted mother of Yavonne (Dave) Thoma, Rhonda (Todd) Chamberlin, and Cindy (Bob) Chamberlin. She was the fun-loving grandma of Matthew (Jess), Scotty, Meghan (Brandon), Joshua, Trevor, and Bobby; the great-grandma of Jaxson and Mason. She is survived by her caring brother Richard and a sister. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Sandra graduated from Huron High School and went on to graduate from Michigan College of Beauty. When she had children, she became a stay-at-home mom; as her girls grew up, she worked as a caregiver, was a manager at Lake Erie Metropark, and then worked for Trenton Engine. She retired from Chrysler to care for her parents. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 4093 and FCRV Camping Club. She loved volunteering at her United Methodist Church, especially helping with the dinners. Sandra was very involved in her daughters’ lives. She never missed a school activity, band concert and was the Campfire Girls leader. She really enjoyed cheering for her grandchildren at their sporting events and dance recitals.Sandy loved Jesus, flowers, going out dancing with her best friend Sue, camping, being up north and taking cruises, and decorating for the holidays. Sandy always put others first and knew how to put a smile on your face. Her family is respecting her wishes by having a private service. A special Thank You to everyone for the prayers. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking memorial donations be made in her name to any cancer society, church or charity of your choice.

Dear Rhonda and family,
We are beyond brokenhearted to hear of your sweet mother's passing. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone!! She was truly a gem and she had the best laugh! We haven't see much of each other for a long while, but every time we passed by the house we sent good thoughts her way. Her loss saddens us deeply. Know we love you and will keep your families in our closest prayers.
Love,
Sandy Johnson and family Sandy Johnson
