Obituary
William Gene Chinavare, born on April 14, 1944, in Monroe, Michigan, passed away on August 10, 2026, in Carleton, Michigan, at the age of 82.
He was a man who loved life and embraced its many joys with a passion that was evident to all who knew him. A devoted sports fan and avid hockey player, Bill found pleasure in the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it fostered. His love for nature was profound; he spent countless hours immersed in the tranquility of the outdoors, always finding peace and inspiration amidst the beauty of his surroundings.
An artisan at heart, Bill delighted in building things with his own hands. He made a significant amount of furniture over the years, each piece crafted with care and attention to detail. Bill and his brothers followed in their fathers’ footsteps by becoming self-employed as building contractors. Their endeavors reflected not only his industrious spirit but also the strong bond he shared with his family.
Bill is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Almond and Madolyn Chinavare, and his sister, Joanne LaDuke. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Suzanne Chinavare, his children, Brian Chinavare and Jolie Chinavare, and his siblings, John Chinavare, Allen Chinavare, and Michael Chinavare.
His legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and a life lived fully, with a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that brought him joy. Bill will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
