CONGER, William L., age 84, of Carleton, December 13, 2023. Beloved husband of Dorothy Conger. Loving father of William Conger II. Bill was a Mason and loved riding horses. He was a huge car buff. Condolences

  • My thoughts and prayers go to the Conger family. I had the privilege of working with Bill about twenty years ago. He taught me a lot and had a great sense of humor. We went to a horse auction together one time (my first) and he wound up buying a horse. I’ll never forget him. Rich Strock
  • I always remember Bill as a very handsome cousin, never got to be around him much. The last year reconnecting I so enjoyed the stories he would tell of our family and community. Wish you and Billy comfort and strength through this difficult time.Love you and praying for you Frances Conger
  • One of the nicest, most down to Earth men you could ever meet. We should have elected him mayor of our neighborhood. He cared about everyone, and we enjoyed talking with him so much. He was passionate about his home, his horses and his family and life.... and breakfast... We enjoyed chance meetings with Bill out at breakfast many mornings. Him and my Bruce just hit it off as soon as we met him in 2007. Always a good conversation to be had and smiles to be seen and you could see in his eyes he was full of mischief. He was foolish about his Dorothy anyone could clearly see, and she was about him right back. Just wish I had taken opportunity to ride horses with him, but maybe we'll go riding horses up in the Big Skies when we all meet again. Love ya Dorothy. Barbara Price
