Obituary
William Scott Campau, born on May 31, 1963, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in Gladwin, Michigan, at the age of 61.
He was a man of great heart and spirit, whose love for family and animals filled his life with joy and laughter. His compassion extended to all creatures great and small; he cared deeply for his reptiles, fish, dogs, and cats, who were cherished companions throughout his life.
William had a passion for building model cars and airplanes, a hobby that he truly enjoyed. His love for classic cars was evident in the way his eyes would light up at the sight of a beautifully restored vehicle. He enjoyed working on his Kawasaki 500 motorcycle, spending countless hours perfecting it to his satisfaction.
In his younger years, he was known for getting into mischief and playing pranks, often involving his pet tarantula to the delight (or dismay) of his friends and family. His playful spirit and sense of humor never waned, leaving those around him with endless stories and fond memories.
Above all, William was a loving and caring person, dedicated to his family with whom he treasured spending time. His humility and warmth made him an "awesome guy" to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
William is survived by his beloved mother, Betty Campau; his loving siblings, Cheryl (Richard Wowak) Tatreau and Nicole (Ron) McPherson. He leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews: Crystal (Rob), Henry Allen (Amanda), Renee, Michael, Meichal, and Evan, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. His beloved furbaby, Buster, will miss him dearly.
Though William has left this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy is one of kindness, joy, and a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
