Obituary

New Boston - With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our dearly beloved David Francis Duda of New Boston, age 61. David departed this world and entered his eternal life on February 23rd, 2026.

David was born on June 8th, 1964, in Bad Axe, MI. Son of the late Arnold and Agnes (Murawski) Duda. He was wed to the love of his life, Susan Duda, on December 28th, 1991. David is also survived by his children, Danielle and Andrew, his son-in-law, Andrew Buckshaw, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Yvonne Brown, niece Emily, and nephew William (Adriana and daughter Mia).

David belonged to and was an active participant with the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling with his loving wife and family, making wonderful memories of days at home in his serene backyard pool, as well as watching the Lions and Tigers games with his son-in-law and dear friends. Throughout his years David spent as much time outdoors as possible and stayed active through a variety of means, most notably tennis and pickleball. He was a happy, healthy man with an incredibly quick wit and extremely loving nature.

David always made time with his family a priority, offering unconditional love and support. He is dearly loved by many close friends and relatives and made a deep impression on everyone he met. Known for his strong compassion and undying loyalty, Dave’s number one priority was, without fail, his family. His loss has brought profound grief to anyone involved in his life and he will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Save Monroe Strays organization at www.savemonroestrays.com or the Taylor Animal Shelter at www.cityoftaylor.com/220/Animal-Shelter.

  • Dave's unexpected passing has left me heart broken for you. No one is ever prepared to say goodbye under such tragic circumstances. The world has lost a good man. This is a loss for all of us, but the grief and sorrow that you feel are the deepest and most poignant and personal. You know I'm always there for you. Belinda Barron
  • There really are no words. Many many images from Mardi Gras and Lebanese meals. Times on the deck with a mesmerized Dolly, a smile on his lips. To laughter from his soul and love from his very essence. My heart wraps each of you in love, my tears a reminder of the love I was touched by. Rest in peace, Dave. Know your memory, smile, and lessons on how to love are the most priceless legacy we can stamp into the hearts of those we touch. Annetta Dolowitz
