DARANY, Elaine George., age 94, of Marco Island, Florida, passed away October 17, 2021. Beloved wife of Joseph Darany for 72 years. Loving mother of Gail (Wesley) Worth, Salem (Lillian) Darany, Jeanne (Michael) Weatherhead and Mary Rose Bristow. Dearest Tata of Joseph, Emily, Bryan, Lauren, Michael, Julie, Suzanne, Amy, Brenden and Trevor. Dear Old Tata of 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, William (Carolyn “Cookie”) George and Mary Rose Borgatti. She loved singing and was called “The Little Girl with the Big Voice” as a singer on the radio in her youth. Elaine was a member of the choir at church and a member of the St. Ignatius Society. She loved cooking, she was the ultimate hostess, enjoyed bowling, loved her family and donated her time to the Marco Island Health Center. She is preceded in death by her parents Eli and Eugenia George, grandson Bryan Weatherhead, brother and sister-in-law Victor (Gloria) George, brother-in-law Robert Borgatti. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Basilica of St. Mary Livonia.
