Jacqueline Lena Derrick, born November 15, 1931, in Ecorse, Michigan, passed away on September 3, 2024, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 92.
Jacqueline dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker. She found joy and fulfillment in her role as a Water Aerobics instructor at the YMCA in Southgate, Michigan, where she taught for over 15 years. An avid reader, Jacqueline cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for her exceptional cooking and baking skills, which brought warmth and comfort to many gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard, and her cherished Chihuahua, Julio. Jacqueline leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Mark Derrick, and his wife, Paula; her granddaughter, Marisa Derrick-Walla, and her husband, Shaun; her grandsons, Jeffrey Derrick and Jacob Derrick; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services for Jacqueline are currently pending. Her cremation took place at "The Witness Crematory," located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
Jacqueline will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
