Janet Lee Doede (Taepke) of New Boston, MI passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2012 at Medilodge of Monroe. She battled Alzheimer's Disease for many years. Born August 2, 1934, in New Boston, Michigan; she was the daughter of Theodore and Edna (Schiller) Taepke. She graduated from Slocum-Truax High School in 1952. She married Arnold C. Doede on August 28, 1954, and he was the love of her life for over 58 years. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society & various choirs. Janet is survived by her husband Arnold C. Doede; children, Cheryl Doede and Rick Guy and Julie and Rich Horn; and grandchildren Chloe Horn, Abbi, Anna & Richie Guy. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Edna Taepke; brother Robert Taepke and sister Donna Doede.
