Obituary

Madeline Sue Donlon-Whitten, born on December 29, 1936, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 88. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that touched all who knew her.
Madeline had a passion for arts and crafts, bringing beauty and creativity into everything she did. She was an active member in her Oscoda community with membership in various clubs and organizations, where she cherished the friendships and camaraderie it brought into her life. Known for her sweet and caring nature, Madeline was a beloved friend to many, always ready with a warm smile and a kind word. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unwavering, and she took great pride in being a nurturing and supportive figure in their lives.
In her later years, Madeline found joy in bird watching, particularly enjoying the visits from her newfound cardinal friends, which brought her peace and happiness. She was a great mom, whose love and dedication were evident in every aspect of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Don A. Donlon and Clifford Whitten, Jr., whose memories she cherished dearly.
Her spirit lives on through her surviving family: children Denise Donlon, Don (Laura) Donlon, Jeff (Sandy Fustini) Donlon, and Gayle (Rick) Wolf; step-children Janet (Stacy) Sims, Brenda (Randy) Buda, Catherine (Tina) Whitten; James (Geniece) Whitten and David (Mary) Whitten; as well as her numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Madeline will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her gentle soul and loving heart have left an indelible mark on those who were blessed to share in her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
