Condolences

  • Martha was a beautiful person. When my family joined First Presbyterian-Trenton, Martha asked if t was coming to the ladies Advent Tea, which I knew nothing about. Sweet Martha, at the last minute, hosted a second table so that I and others on a wait list could attend the beautiful evening. After that year, I hosted a table with my friend for many, many years, all because of Martha’s kindness. May she rest in the arms of Jesus now as a good and faithful servant of the Lord. • I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Martha. I am praying for you all as you walk this path of grief and loss. I would like to share that I have many wonderful memories of her and the absolute joy she brought to our family. She was instrumental in our becoming Christians, she and Grandma taught me how to knit and crochet. She was involved in getting us help when we were struggling when Daddy was in Korea. Her talents for so many things: cooking, baking, sewing, even wedding dresses and wedding cakes was mind boggling. She could do anything she put her mind to do. She loved helping others and her laugh and smile were contagious. In the latter years when she was on facebook more (haven’t seen anything in quite a while) she would always respond to my posts with such encouraging and sweet comments. I wish we weren’t so scattered and could have visited and enjoyed more good times together. I always think of you all with much love. Prayers will continue as you adjust to this loss. Big hugs!
