  • I've know Ellie for more years than I can count and she was one of my very closest and best friends. She was with me on the worst day of my life, and there for the best days. She was a founding member of the Cornstarchers... we will never be the same without her. Ellie, I hope I was half as a good friend to you as you were to me. God Bless, Love, Julie (a.k.a. Sheila) Julie Lambert
  • Ever since I married into this wonderful clan, I've been welcomed so warmly by each and every one. Elinor has and will continue to hold a special place in my heart. She was funny, adventurous, I was in awe of her athletic talents ...no way would I want to try and hit one of her pitches! She helped me navigate through insurance problems when my husband was sick. She would give you an honest answer if you wanted one. Love you Elinor! Adreena Harley
  • Ellie, I will always remember the pool parties at your house, but mostly the smaller gatherings of friends, floating in your pool, and then having a nice BBQ dinner afterwards. You were always so generous. Summers just aren't the same with you. Eternal peace to you and hope you again get to see your dear Pai. Judy Mobley
  • Love and prayers for the DeCoopman family. Sad that we cannot all be together today to celebrate and mourn the loss of Elinor. My first memory of her was as a Safety on the playground at Goodell School. That’s about 68 years ago! Kathy and I (still BFFs) were kindergarteners and she thought she was our boss. :-) We disagreed, but grew up knowing her as a big sister with a strong opinion. Over the years — and there have been a lifetime of family memories — I came to know her as a good lady, sweet friend to many, loving aunt and protective big sister in the very best ways. She was uniquely loved by all who knew her. Her loss leaves a big hole in the DeCoopman family and in the heart of all who knew her. Rest in peace, Elinor. Hugs from afar. Marcia Graham Heim

  • Thank god for memories. I have had so much fun with Ellie. The cookouts and swim parties at her house were so much fun. She liked the casinos and so did I (smile). We golfed together for years. Ellie would give me a few good coaching tips when my game was a little off. I would always say “ I want to golf like Ellie” she would smile. We also bowled together for many years. I will always cherish the laughter and fun times we had together. Prayers to the family. Love Gloria ❤️ Gloria Celina

  • When you look up Good Friend in the dictionary, you should see Ellie's picture. She would do anything she could for anyone. She had a big heart, and was always so generous to everyone. I smile when I think of all the fun times we have had over the many, many years. From Softball, Bowling, Golfing and White Water Rafting, to just hanging out, floating in the pool, or just meeting for a beer, these are all the good times and great memories she will be missed for. Rest easy, my friend. Cookie Cookie
  • Hearts are breaking. I knew Ellie for more than 40 years. Whether it was softball, bowling or golf Ellie was always a stand out athlete. She was always up for an adventure. From Las Vegas to New Orleans Mardi Gras we made many great memories together. I celebrated my 50 th birthday at her house where she hosted a surprise Birthday Party for me. She will be best remembered for her generosity and loyal friendship. I was so lucky to have her in my life and she will be fondly remembered. Condolences to the family. She will be missed by many.
