Dyer, Robert F., age 77, of New Boston, died surrounded by his family on October 25, 2011. He is survived by his son, Scott (Hailie) Dyer, daughters Lesa (Jody) Nielsen and Tara (Bryan) Geresy. He was the proud grandfather of Shannon, Lindsay, Jessie, Zackary, Hannah, April, Sabrina, Adam, Kyleigh, Marissa, Heron and Samuel. He was the great grandfather of Landon, Logan and Sophia. He is also survived by Linda Dyer, Karen Glenn and several loving nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois and Jean. Bob served his country as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He then went to work for the Great Lakes Steel Corporation where he retired after 34 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with friends at his cherished cabin in Lewiston, MI. He was a humble man who was a never ending source of pride to his family. He will be missed.
