DOWNS, Robert M, age 72, of New Boston, January 07, 2018. Beloved husband of Ruth Ann Downs. Loving father of Robert Jeffrey (Gwen) Downs and James Michael Downs. He is also survived by his brother Joel Coley. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Miga Downs and his brother Richard. Robert grew up on a small farm in Milan. He went to Ypsilanti Lincoln Consolidated High School. Robert received his Bachelor’s and his Masters degrees from Eastern Michigan University. He was an educator for 30 years in Wayne-Westland. Robert loved and lived for his family. He will be loved and missed by family and friends. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
