Obituary
Sam Markus Danias, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on August 14, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, Sam lived a life filled with love, dedication, and quiet strength.
Throughout his career as an electrician, Sam was known for his meticulous work and reliability. Outside of his profession, he dedicated his time to his passions and loved ones. An avid enthusiast of Harley-Davidsons, Sam found joy in the open road. He cherished his time spent fishing and living the cabin life in his cherished retreat in Gaylord, Michigan. His love for the Detroit Red Wings and attending concerts added to the tapestry of his life. A man of few words, Sam's actions spoke volumes about his character and his dedication to family and friends.
Sam's legacy is marked by his unwavering commitment to those he loved. He was a handyman who could fix anything and a family man who always looked out for his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Sam is preceded in death by his brothers, George, James, and Nick Danias. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 43 years, Vicky Danias; his mother, Sophia Pappas; his daughter, Erika Whitford, and her husband Adam; his sister, Ann Carbonaro, and her husband Michael; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Hall and her husband David, and Vicky Danias; his brother-in-law, Eric Fleming, and his wife Cristina. Sam is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as multiple great-nieces and great-nephews, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sam's memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, honoring his spirit of giving and care for others.
