Scott Allen Dennison, born on July 18, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 54.
Scott was a man of remarkable intellect and wit, known for his sharp sense of humor and his passion for justice. His fervent advocacy for civil rights, gay rights, and other social causes marked him as a champion for the underrepresented.
A devoted animal lover, Scott found joy and companionship in the company of his pets. His love for travel took him to Scotland, a place he cherished deeply.
Music was a significant part of Scott's life; he reveled in the sounds of punk and alternative rock and found great pleasure in attending concerts. A voracious reader, he also enjoyed his visits to the Detroit Institute of Arts Museum, where he could immerse himself in the beauty of art and culture. Above all, Scott loved his family dearly.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Dennison. He leaves behind a loving family: his father Glen (Joan) Dennison, and his siblings Jawanna (Carl) Simm and Christy (Dennis) First. He was a cherished uncle to Christopher (Becca), Chandler (Roxy), and Lili, and a great-uncle to Adalyn. Scott was also a beloved nephew to many aunts and uncles, including great aunts and uncles. His passing is mourned by numerous close friends who loved him.
