Obituary

DISHAW, Sharon E., age 71, of Huron Township, died on March 4, 2024 at home under hospice care, after a long battle of bile duct and pancreatic cancer. Sherry was born at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe, on September 13, 1952, and was the second eldest of six children born to George and Helen Fox. Sherry was a graduate from Gibraltar Carlson High School. On September 6, 1974, Sherry married Earl Dishaw. Sherry had a career in the food industry, where she started as a cashier advancing to a procurement buyer. In her retirement years, Sherry became an avid golfer. She travelled often to see her six precious grandchildren. Survived by her husband Earl, and daughters Dawn (Nigel) Green and Melissa (Rogelio) Ferrer. Dearest grandmother of Mason, Tyson, Ava, Colton, Antonio, and Alex. She is survived by her siblings George (Mary) Fox, Joe (Louise) Fox, Tim (Leslie) Fox, Kathy Krajcirovic, and brother-in-law Dave Venier. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Helen Fox, and her sister Sandy Venier. Donations may be made to U of M Regal Cancer Center or Hospice of Michigan. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
