DIX, Shirley J., age 74, of Taylor, November 25, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Archie Dix. Loving mother of Barbara (Ron) Tackett, Laura (Terry) Northam and Debbie Snyder. Dearest grandmother of Jessica (Rob), Nick (Jenna), Kris, Elizabeth, Jordan (Courtney) Jacob and Rebecca and great-grandmother of Chase, Maverick, Dayton, Kayden, Jaelynn, Collin, Damien, Desmond, Joseph, Faith and Tommy. She is also survived by her sister Sandy (Tom) Ward, her niece Lisa (James) and her nephew Michael. She is preceded in death by her grandson John and her sister Sharon (the late Robert).

Condolences

To the family of Shirley Dix (Lane) I am deeply sadened to hear of the loss of my first friend from childhood. I lived just a couple of doors down the street from her when she lived on Military. I grew up with her and Sharon as children. Knew her family well and even ate dinners Dee made and admired her father's 4 o'clock flowers that he planted every year. Very fond memories! Words are not enough to express my sincere sympathy. I remember all the shows we would go to at the Lincoln Theatre on Fort Street. I did get to speak with her back in the fall or summer.
