Obituary

DROUILLARD, Therese, age 83, of New Boston, passed away on February 05, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved wife of Floyd for 58 years. She was born on June 21, 1933 to John F. and Mary Balowski. She (Ma) married the love of her life, Floyd (Dad) Drouillard on September 06, 1958. Was a loving mother of Floyd (Laurie) Drouillard, Mary Drouillard and Ann (Anthony) Arminiak. Cherished her grandchildren Justin, Rachel, Alissa and Rebecca and great grandmother of Tristan, Makenna, Ignatius and Arabella. Therese was active with St. Stephen’s Church and School. She was involved with the Mothers Guild, funeral lunches assisting at parish festival, bingo at the festival and church, Christnet, homebound communion, after church coffee and doughnuts, school lunches, and Lenten fish fries. Worked as a Huron Township poll worker at various elections. She enjoyed gardening, canning, drying and freezing vegetables, mushrooms, and fruit for the entire family and sharing with others. At the holidays, made sure no family member or visitor ever went hungry and at Christmas made her favorite dish Czernina (duck blood soup). Would cook for those who lost their spouses and her and Daddy (Floyd) would deliver the food and talk for hours. Look forward to all family reunions, weddings, and religious parties to spend time with family.

We were blessed to know Therese for 17 years as our neighbor and friend. She was a kind and giving person to her family and church. We received fresh baked cookies every Christmas and always received fresh produce from their garden every year. Floyd and family we are sorry for your loss. Always in our prayers.
