Obituary

Anita Louise Emery, born on December 22, 1943, passed away on December 26, 2025, in Woodhaven, Michigan, at the age of 82.

Anita dedicated many years of her professional life to the field of accounting, working diligently for McLouth Steel. Her meticulous nature and attention to detail were evident not only in her career but also in her personal pursuits.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Anita was an avid golfer, known for her competitive spirit and love for the game. She found joy in the art of sewing, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and passion. Anita also cherished moments spent playing cards with friends and family, where her warmth and humor shone brightly.

Anita was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Fritz Emery; her parents, Gordon and Mary; and her siblings, Larry, Theresa, and Steve. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her surviving family: her children, Bryan (Sharon) Pollard and Mark Pollard; her cherished grandchildren, Sara Pollard, Kristin Pollard, Melanie Pollard, Ana Pollard, Shawn Pollard, and Joshua Pollard. She is also survived by her siblings, Jerry (Martha) Lance and Paula Hartness, who will forever hold her memory dear.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Anita will be laid to rest in a private entombment at Michigan Memorial Park.

In this time of remembrance, we celebrate the life of a wonderful woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, grace, and unwavering love.

  • I know we did not share a lot of memories but I will remember and cherish the ones that we did have. You were always sweet and sent me a birthday card every year as a child. I remember you and Grandpa Fritz took Sara & I to a local Italian restaurant in Michigan that you guys loved and we caught up on life. I still have the blanket you quilted me with my name on it and will hold it close to me ❀️.
