Condolences

  • George and I worked for Kmart together in the 1980s. George was many things as a co-worker; reliable, intelligent, adaptable, and a good company man. Perhaps not most important, but most memorable to me, was that he was great fun at work and we often laughed as we worked very hard at remodeling Kmart stores in Michigan and Ohio. I have many stories involving hard work that was peppered with pranks and laughter and George. George took his job seriously and was very good at remembering intricate details of fixtures, their parts, the idiosyncrasies of their assembly and presentation of a first-class execution of any task given to him. George and I were in the summertime of our lives and I am so glad that I was able to have George as a co-worker and friend. I am sure he is missed by his wife and daughters from the things and manner in how he spoke of them to me. I regret not having kept in touch, but our life here on Earth is full of goodbyes and farewells whose sadness is temporary. For I believe (God willing) that we will all meet again. • Dear Cousins, I was very saddened to hear of the loss of our cousin George. Growing up our families spent so much time together -sharing meals, laughing and having fun. We all delighted in sitting around a campfire singing and listening to "down home" stories. George was the little guy with the twinkle in his eye. He was always smiling and so gentle and caring. He will be greatly missed! May Gods peace surround you in the days ahead. Love, Mary Ann Mary Ann Waara
