Joanne Elizabeth Evans, born on August 20, 1942, in Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on May 6, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 83.
Joanne was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and community. She was a woman of deep faith and her unwavering belief in God guided her actions and inspired those around her.
A passionate gardener, Joanne found joy in tending to her garden, ensuring it was always pristine and beautiful. Her love for nature was matched only by her compassion for others, as she was always open to embracing and helping those less fortunate.
Joanne was a devoted and dedicated wife to her beloved husband, Arlan Evans, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage. She cherished their time together and missed him dearly after his passing. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tim Evans, and her brother, Thomas Stephen.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Tina Boes, and son-in-law, Dave Boes; her cherished grandson, Nicholas; and her brothers, William and John Stephen. Joanne leaves behind many family members and friends who will remember her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park.
Joanne's legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
