Dearest grandfather of Stephanie, Aaron, Ryan and Bethanie and great grandfather of Celeste, Olivia, Jakob, Avary, Jackson, Emilia, Brady, Zachary and Evan. Dear brother of Porter and Ronald Ely. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Ely, his sisters, Evelyn Peters, Betty Ely and Marjorie Hodge and his brothers, Willard, Henry, Eddie and Eugene Ely.
