Mary Blanche Estep peacefully passed away on June 2, 2025, in Carleton, Michigan, at the age of 90. Mary, who was born on July 9, 1934, in Caylor, Virginia, lived life to the fullest. She was the definition of strength, resilience, and love. Everyone always said, “She never met a stranger”, and that’s exactly who she was, a friend to everyone. To say she will be missed is an understatement, for she was truly the brightest light filled with love. This was evident just by looking at her smile.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Estep; her parents Robert and Mettie Senters; her daughter, Kathy Coffman; her sisters Geneva Williams and Bobbie Bryant; her brother Robert Senters; and son-in-law Dennis Coffman
She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen (Bob) Kapelanski and her son Russell (Jeff) Estep; her cherished grandchildren Ashley, Krystal, and Jamie; and her precious 7 great-grandchildren. And of course, we cannot forget her furbaby Samson and grandpuppy Sophie.
Mary was an excellent cook, making the best biscuits and gravy! She loved word search and adult coloring books. She was a woman of faith and with her warm and gentle nature, people naturally enjoyed being around her. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, especially decorating the tree and her home to spread the holiday spirit. Mary was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan and was so very happy that they’re doing great this season so far.

Although Mary will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will live inside those who held her close to their hearts!
