FAIRBAIRN, Richard R., age 73, of Belleville, January 18, 2020. Beloved husband of JoAnn Fairbairn. Loving father of David Ritchie Jr. Paula (Jeff) Wistinghausen, Renee (Leonard) Ziegler and Michelle Robert. Dearest grandfather of Jeffrey, Sydney, Mason, Molly, Merissa, Donald, Joshua, Ashley (Darris) and Chelsea (Dillon) and great-grandfather of Haylie, Laylah, Payten and Rylee. He is also survived by his sister Janet (Sherman) Lawrence. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Edna Fairbairn and his sister Bette Brusseau. His cremation took place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle all around amazing man. He loved sitting out under his tree out back enjoying the nature talking with family and friends. He loved his grandkids so much he tried to make every one of the sporting events or dance recitals or races only missing one if he was rotating it with another. He is the absolute best most loving person whom made our family so much better just by being apart of it. He would say some of the funniest things and always loved sending and receiving silly text messages. He will be truly missed more than words can ever say.

Rick was truly the most amazing man I ever met he was the best father and grand father anyone could ask for the best part was he chose to be our father/ grandfather and it takes a great man to do that. He took me on a trip to Chicago and got them to let me sit in the pilot seat I will never forget it. I love him more than words can say. Michelle Robert

Oh I am so sorry for the loss of Richard, loved him so, he is the kindest, sweetest person ever. I loved hearing him tell his stories about his family, he loved his grand kids. This is such sad news for me. My prayers to you Joann and your family, he is going to be missed so much. Lynne
