FREITAG, Thomas M. age 66, of Flat Rock, lost his year and half long battle with pancreatic cancer on August 25, 2011. Beloved husband of Rozanne. Loving father of Ben (Lisa Langell) Freitag. He is also survived by his brother Harold Freitag, his sister Sharon (Larry) Young and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Myrtle Freitag, his sister Geraldine Lochner and his nephew Larry Lochner. He had numerous hobbies and interests including genealogy, local history, gardening and traveling. Tom graduated from Huron High School in 1963 and went on to receive his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Eastern Michigan University. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam where he earned the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service and education, Tom was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Rock Island, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan.
