Diane Kay Giese, aged 82, passed away on January 20, 2025, in New Boston, Michigan. Born on December 22, 1942, in Bemidji, Minnesota, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Alice Morrissette.
Throughout her life, Diane found joy in the simple pleasures of her favorite pastimes—immersing herself in the pages of a good book and piecing together jigsaw puzzles with care and patience. These activities reflected her thoughtful and contemplative nature, which endeared her to all who knew her.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Morrissette, and her brother, Raymond Morrissette.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Gerald Giese, who stood by her side through every chapter of her life's journey. She leaves behind her cherished children, Brian (Lisa) Giese, Dana (Dan) Marshall, and Lori Giese, who will forever hold her memory dear. Diane was a proud grandmother to her treasured grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin, Evan, Noah, and Ashton, each of whom brought immense joy to her days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause close to Diane's heart, reflecting her compassion and care for others.
Diane Kay Giese will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by her family and friends. Her gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
