Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Jean Greca, who left this world on August 4, 2025, at the age of 86. Donna departed peacefully in South Branch, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Donna was born on September 8, 1938, to Charlotte and Donald Wilkie and was the older sister to Roy, Jack, Larry and Jerry. In 1961, Donna married Clem and they shared their 37 years of life together on Wayne Road in Romulus, together with their four children.
Donna loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a fantastic cook and shared her skills with her kids and grandkids. She raised her own produce with Clem, canned tomatoes and pickles and froze corn and other vegetables. She baked the best apple pie cake and custard pies!
Donna had a zest for life that radiated through her many interests. She was quite the crafter. Decoupage, shadow boxes, painting, ceramics, jewelry making. She enjoyed playing cards with friends in Flat Rock and being part of the Seniors. Donna loved her Bunco group and seeing the ladies every month for 50 years. She spent her winters in Texas zipping around on her golf cart, meeting up with family and friends and playing cards. Donna would then teach her kids and grandkids the new card games and dominos she had learned in Texas.
For over three decades, she was employed at Blocks Stand and Greenhouse, where she shared her love for flowers and plants. She was an extremely knowledgeable gardener and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with customers. Her home garden and yard was her sanctuary. She shared that love with her family.
Donna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clement Greca; her son, Tony Greca; her parents, John and Charlotte Zylla; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children Linda Cobb, Steve (Tina) Greca, Cheryl (Kenneth) Kamin, and daughter-in-law Lisa Wohlfeil. Her grandchildren Heather (Rob), Randy, Megan (Jerry), Brandon, Chelsea, Nicholas (Alicia), Kenneth (Emilee), Christopher, Kaytlin, and Hannah (Trevor) will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Donna’s great-grandchildren were a source of joy to her - Olivia, Jayden, Kyler, Kenny, Lincoln, Jolee, Natalie, Valentina, Jetsen and Maria.
She also leaves behind her beloved cousin Sandy and her sisters Joan and Cathy, along with numerous extended family members and friends.
As we bid farewell to Donna, let us remember her legacy will endure in the hearts of all she touched.
