In her brief yet impactful time with us, Grace Eleanore Gillikin, affectionately known as "Baby Grace," embodied the very essence of resilience and strength. Born on August 2, 2024, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she arrived into this world as a fierce and feisty spirit weighing just 1 pound, 3.8 ounces. Though her journey was short, a mere five months, she captivated and inspired all who had the joy of knowing her.
Grace's story is one of unwavering courage and remarkable tenacity. Despite the challenges she faced, her fighting spirit never dimmed and instead served as a shining beacon of hope and determination for her family and friends. Her life, though brief, has left an indelible mark—a testament to the power of love and the strength found in even the smallest among us.
In her brief, beautiful life, Baby Grace taught those around her the profound depth of love, hope, and perseverance. She leaves behind a legacy of bravery that inspires us to face life's challenges with grace and courage. Her parents, Adam and Sarah Gillikin, along with her sister Stella, are left cherishing her memory with boundless love.
Her presence will be lovingly remembered by her grandparents, Larry (Papa) & Mary (Mimi) Gillikin, and Rick (Papa) & Janet (Nana) Masty. Additionally, her godparents, Aunt Ashlee & Uncle Mike Niesyto, and her Uncle Andrew Masty will forever hold her close in their hearts. The embrace of other extended family members and friends will continue to nurture her memory.
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Grace are invited to honor her life on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, located at 30895 W Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, MI, 48134. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and burial at Michigan Memorial Cemetery.
In celebrating Grace’s life, all are welcome to join her family for a meal of remembrance and joy from 5 to 8 p.m. at On the Dunes, 2055 Haggerty Rd, Commerce Township, MI, 48390.
Though her time with us was brief, Grace's legacy of courage and love will forever illuminate the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her indomitable spirit—a light that will continue to inspire us all to cherish every moment, embrace our inner strength, and spread love unconditionally.
