Obituary

John Lawrence Gregory, II, lovingly known as "JLG," passed away on November 27, 2024, in Wyandotte, Michigan, at the age of 53. Born on May 25, 1971, in Trenton, Michigan, John lived a life filled with love, dedication, and passion.

For 29 years, John served as a Parts Order Processor for Ford Motor Co., where his meticulous nature and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on his colleagues. Beyond his professional life, John was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who cherished every moment spent with those he loved.

An avid sports enthusiast, John had a special fondness for bowling and was a proud fan of Michigan State. He relished the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought. However, above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved wife, Carrie, and his children, John Lawrence Gregory, III, and Jaxson Lee Gregory. He also shared a deep bond with his furry family members, Luna and Foxy, who were constant sources of joy and companionship.

John is preceded in death by his father, John Lawrence Gregory, whose memory he always held dear. He is survived by his loving wife, Carrie; his cherished children, John Lawrence Gregory, III, and Jaxson Lee Gregory; his step-son, Jonathan (Valerie) Dulmage, dearest son of Reida Gregory. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters, Dorothy Saunders and Tanya Johnson, along with his nephews, William, Adam, Maverick, Jacob, and Austin, and their families.

John's warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
