Obituary
John Leroy Goff, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Southgate, Michigan. Born in Vienna, West Virginia, on November 25, 1937, John lived a full and vibrant life, reaching the age of 87.
John was a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Goff; his daughter, Deanna Bible; and his brother, Tom Goff.
He is survived by his loving children, Denise (Doug) Day, Rhonda (Lloyd) Hall, and Ron Goff. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Britney, Kayla, Joshua, Justin, and Maria, as well as his great-grandchildren, Landon, Kaylee, Spencer, Harper, and Ava. John also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth and kindness.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, John proudly served his country for three years. In his leisure time, he found joy in gardening, baking, and watching football, pursuits that brought him much happiness and satisfaction. Known for his friendly demeanor and open heart, John never knew a stranger, and his welcoming nature endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
John's memory will be cherished by his family and friends, each carrying forward his spirit of generosity and love.
