GALIMBERTI, Lillian Theresa "Toots" or "Minnie" age 87, formerly of Monroe, passed away at home on August 20, 2018, in Montgomery, Texas, where she lived with her daughter, Teresa Aguilar. Lillian was born on December 30, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Mike and Theresa (Granc) Tratar. She excelled in her education, graduating at the age 16 as Valedictorian of her class. Lillian married Giuseppe (Joe) Galimberti on January 12, 1950. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 6, 1994. She worked at North Star Steel for many years, and after retirement moved to Texas to live be with her daughters. Lillian was a devoted wife, loving mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing games, especially scrabble, and was an animal lover. She will always be remembered for her cooking skills. Her helpfulness and kindness will truly be missed by her family, and all those who knew and loved her. To cherish her memory, Lillian leaves 3 children, Teresa (Walter) Aguilar of Montgomery, Texas, Rick (Sandy) Galimberti of Ida, and Gina Wehmeyer of Montgomery, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Rico (Rachel), Valerie, Joseph (Megan), and Ruby; and 8 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Brady, Casen, Henry, Jack, Zane, Lilliana, and Sophia. Cremation has taken place in Montgomery, Texas, and there will be a private graveside service in November at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, where she will be inurned with her husband. The family will be gathering for a Celebration of Life at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
