Obituary

Linda Joan Grooms, born on May 31, 1939, in Pikeville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2024, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 85.

Linda dedicated many years of her life working as a CSA for Signature Airlines, where she found joy and fulfillment in her role. Her passion for flying and travel was evident in her career and personal interests. In addition to her love for travel, Linda enjoyed creating beautiful ceramics, making floral arrangements, and cooking. However, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her cherished grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Josie Gibson, her brothers, Herbert and Bryan, and her sister, Patricia.

Linda leaves behind her beloved spouse, John Grooms; her daughters, Laura (Thomas) Read and Sherry (Steve) Ohlarik; her grandchildren, Sarah (Drew Tyra) Grooms-Sharbnow and Devin Grooms-Sharbnow; her great-grandchildren, Savannah, Xavier, and Zeevah; and her sister, Sheila Baroni.

Linda will be remembered for her warm heart, her dedication to her family, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the beautiful moments she created with her loved ones. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amercian Cancer Society.
