Sharon Joy Gedert, 64, of Moss Ferry Road, Villa Rica, Died January 21, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 21, 1946, the daughter of the late George Randolph Treadway and the late Opal Myra Treadway. She received a degree in business administration and took a position with Aetna Insurance Company as manager of the Group Claims Department. She retired from Aetna after twenty-five years of service and accepted a position with Georgia Insurance Commissioner, John Oxendine, as Consumer Services Manager. She had been retired for a few years. Survivors include her son, Chris Gedert of Villa Rica; one sister, Bernice Brown of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends to gather at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 12:30 PM.
