Obituary
Warren “Steve” Steven Griglio, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 10, 2026, in his hometown of Detroit at the age of 75. Born on December 29, 1950, in Detroit, Steve lived a life full of love, spontaneity, and devotion to his family.
Steve was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. He found great pleasure in playing cards in bed with his wife, Kat, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and laughter. Steve's adventurous spirit led him to enjoy hiking and kayaking, often finding solace in the beauty of nature. He loved campfires, where stories were shared and memories were made.
A devoted family man, Steve was always present at his grandchildren's sporting events, cheering them on with pride and enthusiasm. His spontaneous nature brought joy and excitement to those around him, and he loved to cook for his family and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Florence Griglio, and his brothers, Dave and Mike. He is survived by his loving wife, Kat Griglio; his children, Tony Griglio, Nikki (Bill Blatt) Greif, and Kelli (Jamal) Elmokadem; and his cherished grandchildren, Tara, Samantha, Anthony, Hannah, Robert, Dalia (Spencer), Layla, Muhammad, and Mysa (Ismael). Steve also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, his siblings Florence, Carol, Paul, Larry, and Phil, as well as many dear family members and friends.
Steve's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support for those he held dear. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
