Obituary
Alan Keith Holmes, was born June 11th, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan and passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 77 in Detroit where he was born.
Alan dedicated many years of his career as a tool crib attendant in the automotive industry, contributing to the backbone of Detroit's storied manufacturing legacy. His work ethic and dedication were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work, Alan was a man of varied interests. He found joy in the great outdoors, often spending his free time golfing, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed the camaraderie of bowling and the thrill of visiting casinos. These activities brought him happiness and allowed him to forge lasting friendships.
Alan was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Judy, and his mother, Jeanette.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sheila Holmes, who stood by his side through life's journey. He leaves behind his brother, Gregory Holmes, and sister-in-law, Lisa; his sister, Janice Moffet; and his son, Scott Holmes, along with daughter-in-law, Jill. Alan's family and friends will remember him for his warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty.
Alan's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
