Condolences
- I came to know Dave in my role with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and quickly saw him as a solid and good man, an honorable veteran who served his country with great courage and a person you felt you could count on. I know that at this time it is difficult for family and close friends to hear what others say at the passing of one so loved. I ask your indulgence. The night following his death I awoke thinking about David and began to pray . At first my heart was heavy but soon there was a calm and uncommon sense of peace. The experience confirmed that your loved one and our brother veteran is living in the place our God prepared for him in eternal glory. I hope this doesn't sound like a platitude because it is very real to me and comes from the heart. Paul Paul Esser
- Sheri, I am so sad today to hear about your dad's passing. There is no doubt in my mind he is watching over you and your mom, proud to have you as his daughter, and has made such a positive impact on the lives of so many others. - Barbara,Heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Dave made a huge difference in alot of Marines in RVN and equally back in Country.I'm one of them ,especially in Philadelphia for the K-3/7 reunion as well as the others that I was able to attend.He brought me into it and made me part of it and I will never forget it.A wonderful,humane person and Marine.I am sorry I was not able to visit you as we talked about as well as not being able to attend his Memorial. - Dave was and always be one of our Kilo Brothers from our tour in Vietnam. It was a great honor to have served with him and We always enjoyed seeing him at our reunion with Barbara and Sheri.
