Obituary

HUGHES, Debra A., age 72, of Trenton, September 25, 2022. Beloved wife of Thomas Hughes. Loving mother of Jim (Dawn) Casey, Tina (Dave) Gardiner and Carl (Georgia) Sanders. Dearest grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 7. She is also survived by her brothers John (Cliff) Davis and Danny (Jennifer) Davis. Debra loved her family, people and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Davis and her sister Patricia Davis. Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Deb was like a sister to me, I loved her so much. I will always be grateful for Mary, her Mother, for bringing us together. Deb shared so much of her story with me I felt like I knew all her family. I am so sorry for the sorrow you are all feeling. Rest In Peace my sweet friend. Gayrene Walker

Aunt Deb came into our family when I was a little girl. She said I was her namesake, my mom just didn’t know it at the time.😊 She made everyone feel special and loved and important. She brought laughter and fun with her wherever she went. I adored her and will miss her so much. Sending so much love and prayers for comfort for all who loved her, especially dear Uncle Tom, and her wonderful children and grandchildren. Deb Pelkey
