HIGGINS, Donna L., age 90. Passed away on October 14, 2022 at her home in Flat Rock, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late Leslie Higgins. Beloved mother of Susan Higgins of Flat Rock and Scott (Sandra) Higgins of Flat Rock. Dearest grandmother of Steven, Nicole, Michelle and Ashleigh and great-grandmother of 5. She is preceded in death by her sister Betty Morden. Born on February 28, 1932 in Flat Rock, Michigan at home. She was the daughter of Murray and Elsie Anable. On May 11, 1952 she married Leslie Higgins at First United Methodist Church, Flat Rock, MI. Donna was employed by the Down River Casting and State Savings Bank. However, her loyalty and passion lie with the Flat Rock Garden Club for over 20 years as one of the most respective den mothers. The most important and fulfilling job Donna ever had was to be a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family, they always came first. Her passion was not only for her children, grandkids and great-grandkids, it was also floral design, going up-north to the cottage to ride dune buggies with the family. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing or meeting Donna knew she was the most passionate and admired person you would ever meet.
