Obituary
Eddie Arnold Hicks, born on January 31, 1948, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at the age of 77. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
Eddie was preceded in death by his brothers Howard Hicks, Arnold Hicks, Billy Ray Hicks, and Richard Hicks; his parents Ida Hunter and Buster Hicks; and his grandson, Robert Richard Edward Hicks.
He leaves behind a devoted family who will cherish his memory: his loving wife, Mary Hicks; his six children, Veronica Patrick, Edward Hicks, Tammy Murdock, Lenora Hicks, Tonia Nolan, and Ricky Hicks; and his twelve grandchildren, Rondel Root, Jonathon Root, Timothy Root, Quinn Hicks, Robert Hicks, Josie Hicks, Charlee Hicks, Waylan Hicks, Donny Patrick, Scott Patrick, Josh Patrick, Mariah Cook, Aubree Nolan, Erica Mendez, and Jarrett Brewer. He was also blessed with 24 great-grandchildren.
Eddie is survived by his siblings, Versa Duncan, Mary Wright, and Betty Hicks, who will remember him fondly.
He was loved by many, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
