Obituary
Gloria Nadine Hickey, born on September 23, 1945, in Huntington, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, in New Boston, Michigan, at the age of 78.
A devoted homemaker, Gloria dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a loving home. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her love for hummingbird feeders, and held a deep and abiding faith in God that guided her through all of life's challenges.
Married to the love of her life, Robert Hickey, for 53 beautiful years, Gloria's marriage was a testament to enduring love and commitment. Together, they built a life filled with cherished memories and unwavering support.
Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved sons, Matthew Hickey and Steven Hickey; her dear parents, Allie and Grover Scarberry; and her brother, Rodney Scarberry.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hickey; her devoted children, Jason (Megan) Hickey and Kimberly Hickey; and her adored grandchildren, Dalilah and Henry. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In this time of mourning, we remember Gloria for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and enduring love for her family and God. May she rest in eternal peace.
Her cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
