Obituary
Irene Louise Hubbard, born on February 11, 1936, in Allen Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 88.
Irene was a devoted family woman who found immense joy in the company of her loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her family and had a profound love for food, particularly savoring the sweetness life had to offer. Her sweet tooth was legendary among those who knew her. Irene took great pleasure in assisting her son, Todd, in making venison sausage and helping tend to the family garden. Her generous spirit and nurturing nature were evident in her constant desire to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
A proud and loving grandmother, Irene held a special place in her heart for her granddaughter, Annabelle. She harbored a strong desire for Annabelle to achieve great things, encouraging her to pursue her education. Annabelle graduated from the University of Michigan, fulfilling her grandmother's cherished wish.
Irene is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Helen and Harry Reeck, as well as her sister Leona and brother-in-law Clayton Summitt.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her son Todd Hubbard and his wife Barbara; her adored granddaughter Annabelle Hubbard; nephew Terry Summitt and his wife Joni, and niece Laura Kiefer and her husband Herb. She was also a cherished great aunt to Daniel Kiefer and his wife Gabrielle, Lauren Fovargue and her husband Chase, and Julia Summitt.
Irene's memory will be forever treasured by her family and friends. Her caring and loving nature touched the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
