Obituary
James Leo Hensley, born on July 18, 1950, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 74.
James dedicated much of his life to his work as a Janitor at Chrysler Automotive, where he was known for his diligent work ethic and the joy he found in his daily duties. Outside of his professional life, James had a deep passion for fishing and hunting. He loved playing cards with friends and family, watching old Westerns on TV, and cherished every moment spent with his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda. James is survived by his children, James (Stephanie) Hensley, Jr., Tammie (Ron) Kolenda, and Shellie Hensley. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Heaven, Joshua (Holly), Ashley (Gerald), James (Amanda), Jill (Daniel), and Jessica (Austin). James’s adoration for his great-grandchildren, Aria, Carter, Lucas, and June, and the late Noah, was a hallmark of his later years.
James is also survived by his beloved brother, Joseph (Deanna) Hensley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Beaulah.
His cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory" located inside Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. James's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
