HEWITT, Judy A., age 80, of Garden City, October 02, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Brian Hewitt. Loving mother of Carol (Walter) Krawczyk and Michael (Patti) Dobbyn. Dearest grandmother of Ashley (Jeff), Courtney (Nick), Nickolas, Haley. She is also survived by her sister Diana Nickell and her loving companion “Cookie.” She is preceded in death by her parents John and Georgianna Sestak. She was loved and will be missed by the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the late Brian Hewitt. Judy was a strong independent woman. She raised two children who knew she meant business when they did something wrong. She was firm but also loved her children very much. She found the love of her life Brian in her 40’s and cherished the years they had together. They were always laughing and joking and teasing each other when they were together. They enjoyed spending time on the golf course, shopping, visiting cider mills and taking little trips to Sarnia, Canada to sit by the water and enjoy the weather and watch the boats go by. They spent several winters in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and made a lot of friends there. They loved spending time and going places with their best friends John and Shelvey. Judy enjoyed having Christmas with both her own and Brian’s families. She loved having everyone over to celebrate the holidays and would make all their favorite dishes - especially her pies – pumpkin and banana cream were the favorites! Judy loved animals, especially her dogs, Muppet and her most recent dog Cookie, they were her babies and she loved to spoil them. Judy loved her family and enjoyed when they came over to visit, Thursday night dinner with the girls was a weekly event. Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and hearing about their life adventures and future plans. She loved to just sit and visit and have crazy conversations about silly things. She loved to laugh and would come up with some real good belly busters. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, our loss is great but she will remain in our hearts forever.
