Obituary

Leslie Bob Hensley, affectionately known to family and friends as Bob, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 78. Born on April 14, 1946, in Trenton, Michigan, Bob lived a life full of kindness, generosity, and contentment.

Bob dedicated much of his working life in the steel industry, where he was employed as a Rigger. His work ethic and dedication were commendable, earning him the respect and admiration of his coworkers and peers.

Bob was a man of many interests, with a particular passion for hockey, especially cheering for his beloved Detroit Red Wings. He also enjoyed spending time on his computer, playing games such as Wordle, and capturing life's moments through photography. A true fan of Snoopy, his collection of Snoopy t-shirts was well-known among those close to him.

Known for his warm heart and generous spirit, Bob was a man who truly appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He cherished the memories he made with loved ones and was always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand.

Bob is preceded in death by his brother Ron Hensley, sister Linda Gulian, and his parents, Leslie Hensley and Agnes Patalan. He leaves behind a loving family, including his sister-in-law Elsie Hensley, and his nieces and nephews: Michele, Lynn, David, Tammy, Eileen, Donna, Richard, Jeff, Neil, and the late Mike and Danny. They, along with many friends, will dearly miss his presence but cherish the wonderful memories he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A service to celebrate Bob's life will follow at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place at Michigan Memorial Park.

Bob touched the lives of all who knew him, and his gentle spirit will be remembered and cherished forever.
