Lilly “Penny” Lovina Holman, of Taylor, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on April 17, 1946, in Wyandotte, Michigan, she lived a life filled with love, adventure, and devotion to her family and community.
Lilly was a cherished member of the Wick Road Baptist Church, where she found joy in working with young children in the toddler room and gained the name “Ms. Penny”. She also served her church through her passion for flower gardening; she tended to the Churches outside flowers for 20 years. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the church as she often crafted homemade gifts for widows, bringing comfort and companionship to those in need.
An adventurous soul, Lilly loved the open road and spent long weekends traveling in her RV, accompanied by the love of her life, her husband TJ Holman. Her zest for life was evident in her passion for motorcycling and shooting, hobbies that she enjoyed immensely. At home, she found peace and happiness in her flower garden, where she cultivated beauty and tranquility.
Lilly is preceded in death by her beloved parents, John Burrins and Edna Burris. She leaves behind a devoted family who will forever cherish her memory: her husband TJ Holman; her children Thomas and his spouse Rossy Weis, Gerald Weis and Loreen, and T David Holman; and her grandchildren Conner Weis, Cody Holman, Sophia Weis, David Weis, and Mark Weis. Lilly is also survived by her sisters, Linda and her husband John Durfee, and Varyla Fay Hanusik, as well as her brother John and his wife Debbie Burris.
In honor of Lilly's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to a women’s cancer society. Lilly “Penny” Lovina Holman leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
