Obituary

HOOPER, Lonzo Edward, age 99, of Dexter, Michigan, May 25, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Molly Hooper. Loving father of Ernie (Lu Ann) Hooper, Irene Janis, Diane (Todd) Smith and Ivan Hooper, Sr. Dearest grandfather of 12 and loving grandfather to numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, into the 5th generation. He is also survived by his 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Lonzo was a member of theAmerican Legion and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertha Hooper, grandson, Paul Thomas Hurley, great granddaughter, Tiffany Hooper, his sisters, Edith and Hazel, and brothers Isaiah and Hurley.

Condolences

We all loved Uncle Lonzo. We had a great time camping with him and Aunt Molly at the river. We also enjoyed their visits to Mom and Dad's house. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. So sorry for the loss. My heart breaks for all. Uncle Lonzo and Aunt Molly hold a dear place in my heart and memories, all of the wonderful times on the river bank camping and fishing as a child. For a young farm girl that was an elaborate vacation. I cherish getting to send time with them, all the "cousins" and family that would come to the camp to fish or the nightly meal and family time.
