Obituary

Born May 3, 1931 to Roy and Lillie Deason in Ecorse, Michigan. Happily married to Victor Hedrick February 4, 1951 for 39 years until his passing in 1990. They had 2 children. Linda (Brian) Greenwell and Jean (Bill) Keskeny. Margaret then married Corbett (Ray) Cantrell on her 70th birthday. They were happily married for 12 years until Ray’s passing in 2013. Margaret then met a wonderful man, Harry Martindale and they had 7 happy years together. After Margaret developed dementia, she resided at Medilodge Nursing Home until her passing. Margaret loved working; her favorite job was working from 1967-1987 working at Nicholson Machine Shop in Trenton, Michigan. After Nicholson closed, she became a pharmacist assistant then a cashier at different pharmacies. Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Victor Hedrick, her second husband Ray Cantrell, her daughter Jean Keskeny, her sister Pauline Bridges, and her brothers Roy (Bud) Deason Jr, and James Deason. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret Cantrell’s name to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliot Ave, Detroit, MI 48207.
