HACKER, Nellie J., age 69, of Columbus, Ohio, November 10, 2018. Beloved wife of Charles Hacker. Loving mother of Charles E. Hacker, James F. (Emmogene) Hacker, Tina (Toby) Kelly and C.J. (Stephanie) Hacker. Dearest grandmother of Dennis, Malisa, Chelsea, Alexis, Nellie, Crystal, Dylan, Taylor, Justin, Morgan, Jordan, Brianna, Bryson, Brinlyn, Joshua, Carmen, Austin and Jaxon. She is loved and missed by many great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother David Barks. She is preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Hacker, parents Robert and Willie Barks and in-laws Charles and Elizabeth Hacker. When people think of Nellie they think of how big her heart was and how much she loved and adored her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She would do anything for her children; from giving them advice, helping them financially, or just being there to help them while they were physically ill. She was happiest when all her grandchildren were running around. She loved spending time with them and she would play dice games, card games, word searches and all the highlight books. She was always thinking of things that they would like and send Chuck to the store to get it. The kids absolutely adored her. They would smile from ear to ear when they knew they could have a sleep over at maw maws house. They knew they would have so much fun! Not only was she an amazing mom and grandmother but she was an amazing wife. The love that Chuck and Nellie shared is like none other. They always knew how to make each other laugh and they were always cracking jokes on one another. If they weren’t cracking jokes they were telling the family all kinds of stories they shared over the many years they were together! The family always enjoyed hearing these and never heard a story more than once because of how many they had! I can only imagine the adventures they had gone on being together over 50 years. She always made sure Chuck had a full belly because she loved to cook and then of course make jokes about how he has never missed a meal! She always loved so big. Not just to her family but her love for God. She made sure she was reading His word everyday and she had bible study once a week. She would tell her grandkids about God and remind her family to lean on Him when things were hard or rejoice with Him when we were celebrating our successes. She always reminded us to get to church on Sundays because she wanted her kids and grandkids there. She was an amazing woman who was strong, beautiful, kind and loving and will be missed so very much!
