HEUER, Richard D. (Dick), age 83, of Taylor., April 10, 2016. Beloved husband of Shirley Heuer. Loving father of Jill (Randy Harp) Heuer, Rick (Karen) Heuer and Mike Heuer. Dearest papa of Derek, Jessi, Kirk, Nicole, Erica and great-grandfather of Vanessa, Courtney and Zayden. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Velma Heuer and his brother Rollie Heuer. Richard was an avid beer drinker and enjoyed frequenting local bars and pubs with his good friend Larry and other members of the Dollar Beer Club, which he was a member of. He was also a member of the Democratic Club where he was very involved with their annual Corn Roast, an event attended by all the Heuer crew. Richard loved being outdoors and could often be found enjoying a Budweiser in his man-cave garage or on the back porch. He spent all his summer afternoons working in the backyard and often visited Heritage Park for walks. Richard enjoyed many summer weekends in the garage surrounded by family, playing a game or two of darts. Richard was extremely loved by all his family. Whether watching a sports game or debating over a game of trivia, he always brought smiles to the room with his quick wit and lighthearted humor. He was a jokester — never letting any situation become too serious. To celebrate Richard's life and all the joy he brought his family, the Heuers ask you to have a Bud in his honor. Cheers, Papa. His cremation will take place at “The Witness Crematory” located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.
