Richard Frank Hatala, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Brownstown, Michigan. Born on April 23, 1937, in Delray, Michigan, Richard lived a fulfilling life of 88 years, enriched by his love for family and simple pleasures.
Richard's life was marked by his enduring passion for golf, the thrill of motorcycle rides, and the satisfaction found in maintaining a well-kept lawn. These interests brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life, embodying his appreciation for both adventure and the beauty of nature.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Hatala, and his daughter, Terri Hatala. Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Beverly Hatala, whose unwavering partnership was a cornerstone of his life. His legacy continues through his son, Richard (Tammy) Hatala, and his cherished grandchildren: Megan Monczunski, Brandon (Tara) Hall, Tiffani Monczunski, and Hannah (Doug) Hatala. The constant companionship of his dog, Rookie, was a source of comfort and companionship.
